hmm....

I have to agree with the guy before me. Part of me wants there to be a little more variation, but I don't think it'd have the same effect. I've heard some of your other songs as well and like them quite a bit. Great job.

pretty good

I like it, but it is a little too much at times. The guy below that says it makes him think of flying fighter jets is right, it kinda reminds me of music from Top Gun, but more than that it sounds quite like some of the music in Days of Thunder.

yep

I didn't hear it before you remixed it, but this is the best I've heard from you. Everything fits very well. The effects are great and the transitions are all done well. Great melodies, parts reminded me of Trans Siberian Orchestra. Really really great. I don't think I have any criticism of it at all.

Sonofkirk responds:

Thanks for the great review dude. I don't know what s Trans Siberian Orchestra, I will check.
Thank you again mate, \m/

ahhh....

the simpleness of a walking scale....done very well with nice melody mixed into it. The only criticism I can even begin to think of for this one is that the ending tails off a little to quickly I think....well, at least let the cymbals ring nice and loud and fade out, the last one sounded cut off.

Sonofkirk responds:

yeah, you are definatly right .. I made another version ...longer, but I didn't post it because I'm rather happy with this one ; ).

Thanks again for the review!

another one

one of your best I think....I agree with some of the others that it ends too quickly. It sounds like it's really going somewhere and then just stops. And I love major/minor clashes....I think it's just awesomeness listening to dischord resolve....doing it right gives me chills, especially when I'm doing it myself.

Sonofkirk responds:

wow nice review ! Thanks a lot dude, I appreciated it : )

wow

very nice....I saw this and was drawn to it....curious. I didn't think it would sound quite that good as a rock song. Still haven't found one to quite match the Gary Jules version, and I think some of the violin behind the strings could've been done without as I thought it was a bit distracting being very quiet so that you have to strain a bit to hear, and miss out on more of the song.

I don't like you much right now

I don't like you much right now....I've heard someone playing a metal version of the Imperial March before and if I can't think of who it was I'll probably bang my head into several blunt objects. Seriously great though, one of the best renditions of this I've ever heard. It bugs me to hear the piano a little behind the beat. I don't know if that's what you wanted it to be like, but I really prefer the standards the drums either being on time or right behind the beat, which is extremely common in a lot of music. But not the piano, it just grates on my nerves a little bit. Still great though.

Sonofkirk responds:

... Jarrydn of NG made a version of this song too.

Yeah, the piano is very laid back, I wanted it. To accentuate the drudgy tempo : ).

Sorry if the piano make you nervous ... but thanks for the review !

cool

think I prefer the original a bit, maybe because it usually comes right before the show :) I like it though and the ending is a great touch.

Sonofkirk responds:

yes, the original rocks. I'm pretty happy with the end too : ). Thanks for the review!

very nice

Liked it a lot. I give a 9 instead of a 10 because I think the switch to the keyboard section is a little abrupt....still works alright though. Also not sure about the jazz beat behind the keyboard at the beginning of that section, I think a different beat might work a little better there. I really like it a lot though, one of the better things I've heard on here definitely.

Sonofkirk responds:

Yeah, I will add a transition between guitar part and the jazz part to make the switch smoother. Thanks a lot for the very constructive review man \m/

well

couple of things that bothered me....first the horribly fake instrument sounds(especially saxophone, but I may be biased as a saxophone player). Also, I think there may be a bit too much going on in a couple places in the song, but that could just be my taste. Maybe having the male-female vocal duet was it. I'd break up the parts a bit, and have them sing separately at some points and then together, and maybe not so much unison. Overall I liked it a lot, it did somewhat remind me of Lacuna Coil, with a lot of promise.

Arnaki responds:

It's always helpful when people point out areas that can be improved, thanks :)

Ha....I was having fun when that picture was taken.
